SPRING!!

Getting ready to do our plant starts for the 2013 community garden. Looking for a few more garden seed packets. If you have any you want to share please drop in and visit. Also, its spring cleaning time!!! Still waiting for the Northern Pike to start the spring spawn but I can feel it in my bones we will see them jumping the dam soon.
On another note: Its time for the PROM!!!! Please be careful and keep your dates safe to and from the event.

Merry Christmas Dewey Bear

Today, I just wanted to say THANK YOU to Mr. Dewey Bear!!! He was on his way to Minot to mail out all of his granchildren a Christmas Gift. Now thats a good grandpa!! Over the years Mr. Bear has become one of the PRC Cornerstones! He is humble, punctual and always on a mission! I have had the honor of getting to know him and I must say the world would be a better place if there were more men like him. Always busy helping others in some kind of way. Whether its working on getting a car started, a furnace working or just visiting. Thank you Dewey Bear for everything you do! If you see him out and about tell him Merry Christmas!! He is definately someone everyone should have the pleasure of meeting and greeting!!

A Wise Man

Just wanted to forward something a "Wise Man" recently shared with me..."In our culture people are used to having constant activity: computers, cell phones, television, email, video games. There is nothing wrong with any of that. But the Bible tells us that we need to stop and be still so we can focus on knowing God. I've found this to be true especially during the difficult times. When you are facing a challenge, it is easy to want to run to a friend or talk about it with a co-worker.

Prayers

Our deepest thoughts and prayers go out to our families in mourning. We have a great sense of loss and are doing our best to continue feeling, dealing and healing here at the PRC. When things like this happen it reminds us of what truly is important in life....

Memorial for Paula "Amy" Parshall CrowsBreast and Savannah CrowsBreast

REMINDER! The family of Paula "Amy" Parshall CrowsBreast and Savannah CrowsBreast will be having a Memorial This Saturday 12pm at the St. Bridgets Catholic Church in Parshall. Hard to believe that they have been gone a year now. We miss them both very much! If you can, please come and support their loved ones!

Karmon

Just a reminder to everyone. The Parshall Community Fall Craft/ Bake sale is this weekend the 17th of November. The event is scheduled to be from 10am -3pm at the Parshall City Hall and Parshall Legion. Just want to encourage your attendance and would really appreciate your support for our non-profit residential recovery program. This year we have numerous items from our community garden for sale. From canned veggies and dried corn. We also have various arts / crafts made by our PRC Staff and residential clients for sale.

Access To Recovery

Have been getting quite a few telephone calls from individuals and their family members trying to get some Recovery Help. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
 1. Please schedule a Drug & Alcohol Evaluation as soon as possible. In order to gain access to services from any licensed treatment program in the state of North Dakota a person needs two things that come from this. A. A diagnosis from the DSM that pretty much determines that yes someone has a problem with drugs or alcohol. Please keep in mind that there is a definite difference between use/ abuse and addiction.

GET OUT THE VOTE!

Just wanted to remind everyone that its almost election day! I urge you to exercise your civic duties and cast your vote to whom ever you feel will represent you, your family, community, business, or state the best. Don't forget to bring your ID card and also do a quick check to ensure you are going to vote at the  correct polling place!
